I was quite displeased with Ford causing my vehicle to be down for a week because of a flat tire and no parts available. I selected a Ford because of the quality product but also because Ford dealers are available in most every town of moderate size. I certainly expected to be able to get a tire and be on my way. When I had to drive 120 miles on my space saver spare with no other protection against another tire issue, I was not pleased.

You and your staff diffused my issue by being honest, fair and keeping me informed as to the progress. When you took a spare out of another vehicle I was impressed. I fully expected to pay for the tire and the service but when you covered my expenses you cemented an already positive relationship that I have with you dealership.

I am emailing you today to tell you how wonderful your salesman, Joseph DeRiggi is! I purchased my vehicle (Ford Focus) in 2007 from him and this spring I had an issue with a broken antenna. I called him to ask a few questions and before I knew it he was able to help me with my problem.

I recently purchased a 2010 For Fusion, trading in my 2008 Ford Focus. We always do our business with Joe De Riggi. Joe is a very caring and helpful person and Ford is so lucky to have him as a salesman. Joe goes up and beyond to take care of his customers. We have purchased at least four cars from you in the last 10 years. We always see Joe. He is always there for what ever we need or questions we have far after we have purchased our cars and takes care of things immediately. In my opinion he is your top salesman.
I would also like to say a few things about your excellent service department. I was there on June 19th to pick up car mats that were ordered for me. I wanted a pin stripe added to my car and was told there at 10:30, the young man I was waiting for was going to be late, as your service department contacted him and they were told he would be there around 12:30. While I waited for about a half hour, they were nice enough to check for me as to when he would be there. A young man, Clifford, took care of me and was concerned about me waiting in the hot temperatures and offered me to go sit in the service department and said he would come and get me. When I found out the young man would not arrive until after 12:30, he suggested I go get something to eat and come back after 12:30, which I did. When I arrived back, he came out immediately and took my car and washed it so it would be clean when I had the stripe put on. While I was waiting I noticed a big scrape on my right bumper, I have no idea how this happened, and I was just sick. I showed it to Clifford and he immediately offered to paint it. While I was sitting in the garage, Joe came in and apologized that I had to leave and come back. He took me to find where my car was and by the time we got there, my car was washed and mark was painting the bumper. He also gave me some touch up paint that was left. What caring employees.
It was time to have my stripe put on, as the young man had arrived. He said since he had missed an appointment, he would put it on at no cost. I offered several times to pay him, but he refused and said because I had to come back, he would not charge me. Such a nice guy.
I have one more thing to be done to my fusion, I am having a spoiler added to my car. Joe ordered it for me and we had hoped it would come in the color of my car. Unfortunately it did not and was a little more than I wanted to pay but I always have spoilers on my cars. I would like to say how Mark Armato has always been so helpful when we come in for service and taking care of us. He does an excellent job as a service advisor. I Feel like I am really taken care of when I talk to Mark. He took me to meet Carl and he would have to paint it and add a cost to mount it. It was a little more that I wanted to spend, but I know it will add to the car. I am bringing in my car on Monday night and Carl will put it on Tuesday. I'm not sure of the cost yet, but I have to have a spoiler.
I would like to express my sincere thanks for all the attention I was given by all that helped me. Especially Joe. He is one unique person and takes excellent care of his customers. We will always see Joe when we purchase a car and whenever we are in the showroom we make sure we stop by and visit. I have also gotten a hold of him on his cell phone and can't thank him enough for all he has done for us.
We currently own three Fords and will always be a Ford family. Thanks to your wonderful service.

I found my salesperson, Dan Clapper, to be professional, polite, patient, and willing to go the extra mile in trying to meet my requests for what I wanted in a new car. After looking at a 2012 Rio, I entertained the possibility of buying it even though it did not have all of the features I wanted. But I decided to think about it before making a final decision. Dan didn't put any pressure on me at all to buy then and there instead, he asked me to give him a call but before I could, he called me to say that he had just gotten in some Souls and thought one of them might meet all of my needs. After going back in that same day and test driving the vehicle, it turned out he was absolutely right and we bought the car. We have had it about 2 weeks and love it. Dear Rockford Ford Manager,
I have been meaning to write this letter a million times and am sorry it is so late. In November of 2011 we were on our way to Chicago when the transmission when out on our car. We were on the interstate and were fortunate enough to get on an off ramp. My daughter had a smart phone which was able to locate a Ford dealership in Rockford. We called for assistance but (the) service department was closed as it was a Saturday. We were assisted by Nick Stivers, who helped us find a towing service. We were then towed to the dealership. Nick further helped us get a rental car, we tried all we could find on the web. He was awesome, kind and very helpful. We were on our way to a Chicago Bears Game. He called the airport and got Enterprise to come get us and we were once again on our way. We chose to have the transmission fixed and would pick (it) up on (our) return trip. When we returned (the) car was not quite ready but once again your dealership stepped up to the plate. They picked us up at the airport where we returned the rental, gave us a ride to the motel, which Tina in the service department helped us find, and picked us up the next day when the car was done. They also came in early and stayed late to get the car done faster. I cannot tell you what a wonderful experience this was for us and I only wish I would have done this sooner. I had gall bladder surgery and other things kept me off track. I would like to commend all of your staff from Tina and Nick and the guys who worked on the car, to the shuttle car driver. There were also other staff who talked with us and kept us upbeat as it was a stressful situation. We are from North Dakota and I have told many people about our wonderful experience with the people of Rockford Ford and your community. I wish I could remember names and last names so that I could thank them all. If attitude reflects leadership you are doing a great job because your staff were great, Thanks. He knew that i was nervouse and scared and skeptical and he treated me as if i were his own daughter. He patiently explained everything in detail. He did not pressure me towards anything or try to talk me into anything that i did not want. He made sure that i was completely satisfied from the minute i walked in to yur building to the minute i drove off your lot, with my brand new car. I also want to thank Jim Hood and Don Murray, who introduced themselves to me so that i would be uncomfortable when i need to have my car serviced, and so i would know who to contact. I have never in my lifetime sent a letter to a CEO/Board of Directors about the customer service that I have received when I bought something. But Don Smith at Rock River Block, Rockford IL did an outstanding job when we bought our Ford Escape. He made the purchase a seamless process. We asked a lot of questions about the Ford Company and he could answer all of our questions without hesitation. He also has a wealth of knowledge about the car industry. My Husband and I typically bought new Nissan vehicles. I have never owned a Ford in my life. But with all the economic issues facing all of us we decided to drive all the major cars that are made in the U.S. I suspect some of your parts that go into Ford are probably made out of the country. You should change that! We should move jobs back to the U.S.

Dear Don Murray,
On January 13, 2012 I brought my Ford Taurus into your Service Center to have the rear truck struts replaced on my car and have a low tire looked at. You have a great Service Center Team.
Lindsay Ely waited on me. She was friendly, efficient, and helpful with all of my questions. She personally took me over to the waiting area and made sure I was comfortable before she left. Lindsay took the extra time to call and find out that the struts for my car were under warranty ($50.00 Deductible)without being asked to do so.
She paid attention to the small details too. Since the value stem on the tire had to be cut off and replaced, she had all four of the stem screw-on caps replaced too.
Gary in your Service Center needs to be commended also. He called a few weeks after my service visit to make sure I got credit for the Struts (I had prepaid for the parts before my appointment) I looked at my bill and sure enough, I never got reimbursed for them. Thanks to Gary's attention to the details, I will get credited for $66.57. I thought this was so very nice and kind to let me know about this.
It is good, hard working employees that really make a great team. So tell Lindsay and Gary to keep up their superb work.

I like the new Kia advertising slogan…”The Power to Surprise”. I think this phrase is also fitting for one of your employee’s – Jody Petrie. Let me tell you what happened.
I have been in the market for a new car for the past few months. I had essentially convinced myself that I was going to get a new Kia Optima. I only wanted a White SX. I got pretty serious about it over the last 3 weeks – and began to search the dealer inventory of Kia dealers throughout Chicago. As you already know - the Optima is a very popular car and the SX is hard to find. I had sent queries to a variety of dealers, trying to see if anyone had a White SX in stock. The follow up and responsiveness of the dealers I contacted was horrible. Most of the messages I received were standard “form” letters and canned responses – very generic and bland. Some I have still not heard from at all!

Last week I was on a business trip and visited about 2 different cities. I flew in to San Fransico last Wednesday night after I reached the hotel I turned my attention to my White SX. I went to the cars.com site and tried to locate the White SX. This time I expanded the search to 100 miles. Much to my delight – a White SX just like I wanted showed up at your dealership. I quickly found your web site, looked at your inventory and it confirmed what I was looking for. I filled out your web form to get more information and pricing – and then hit “send”. I was expecting MAYBE a canned auto responsive – or a follow up by Saturday. That didn’t occur. I had already shut my computer down when my cell phone “buzzed” that I had a new e-mail. I received a personal, friendly, and helpful note from none other than Jody. I would not believe it. She answered my e-mail at 2 AM in the morning!! This was MY example of the “Power to Surprise”. It was a great surprise – and exactly one week later – I drove off your lot with my brand new 2011 Kia Optima SX – Snow White Pearl!!!
Jody did an incredible job – answering all of my lame questions. She even sent me photos of the wheels! (my wife thinks I am crazy of course, but the wheels DID matter to me). Jody responded to each of my questions and guided me through the entire process. No question was too stupid and no request was unreasonable. She did a GREAT job! She followed up with me every step of the way.
On Wednesday, I got to your dealership around 4:30. Jody had already left for the day… BUT CAME BACK TO MEET ME! What? From a car dealer? On her own time? Again – The Power to Surprise!
I hope you realize what a special employee you have in Jody Petrie. She reflects your dealership so well and is so professional. I hope there is some way to recognize her for her performance and customer service. She has been one of the best I have ever dealt with.

A couple months later, my interest in a new SUV took us from 4 makes and models, to 2, and then to one. Interestingly enough, Rock River Block had 3 of the 4 to start with (1 Kia and 2 Ford). Our final decision on the best SUV came down to the 2011 Sorento SX V6. The decision in-hand, we then had to get the price were were looking for. Mike was very supportive as well as not too invasive. He did not push nor did we feel the need to pull away. Between Mike and the sales manager Bill, we reached the price and deal in a matter of minutes - - and they respected every bit of homework and research we brought to the table. The last item on the SUV-purchase task list was ahead with our trade-in. Again, in a matter of only minutes, they offered what I needed to hear - - and we are now a 2-Kia family. My wife LOVES her "Alien" Soul, and I enjoy my Sorento more and more every time I drive it. Our daughter now wants a new car, too. NOOOOOOOT. However, purchase #1 brought us back to them for just the possibility of purchase #2. Their work was so appreaciated by us that we would not hesitate to go again and/or recommend them to anyone. Bill has also even turned us on to a couple of GREAT restaurants in the area. (Thanks Bill! Hope to see you there.) I am very pleased with Rock River Kia. Their terrific one-on-one work with us, at out convenience, is further enhanced by Stephanie's communications - - which overall, makes up a GREAT team.

Just bought a new KIA Optima from Rock River Block. I have been looking throughout Chicago for the exact vehicle I wanted and the price I was willing to pay. Although Rockford is 90 minutes from my house, it was well worth the drive. I dealt mainly with Jody Petrie through e-mail and the phone. She was AWESOME to work with. I was on the west coast when I sent my initial inquiry via their web site. It was midnight where I was (2AM in Chicago). Jodie picked up my message and sent me an answer 30 minutes after I submitted my information. She was quick to respond and answered every dumb question I had. She even e-mailed me pictures of the wheels!

We reached a deal over e-mail and I made the drive. Everything I was promised was true and my deal was done in 30 minutes. They were great to work with. I would highly recommend the dealership - and make sure you contact Jody! I will definitely work with them again for my next Kia purchase.

The car is fantastic as well. I bought the Optima SX. I have owned Honda, Acura, Toyota and Nissan. The value in this car is hard to beat and the feature list is unreal. The Japanese manufactures have their work cut out for them - Kia and Hyundai are on a roll - now I know why!

This is the very FIRST brand new car, I have owned in 20 years. They were all SUV vehicles. I am very impressed with the car I finally chose. The salesman Bernie, was such a very big help. He not only helped me, but he explained in great detail about the options, on all the vehicles we asked about and put no pressure on us about any certain one of them. He readily just waited for me to pick one for us to test drive. After the first test drive we picked another one to try. It was 3 moths ago that my wife bought a Mustang from your Rock River Ford store. After a rough start she bought a car from Alan Barker and the staff at the store and was treated very well and is very happy with the car. Thank you for your attentive staff.

Now three months later, I was in need of a car and returned to Alan Barker with a list of my needs and a budget. Alan, once again stepped up and demonstrated the kids on attention and professionalism I'm sure you expect from your staff.

Alan listened to what I needed and paid attention to my budget. We drove to several of your lots and he made suggestions as to what felt would be the best value for my budget. He showed me a 2007 Hyundai and explained all of the equipment, mileage expectations and warranty info etc.

Working with Rick Beale were able to come to a price that fit my needs. Both Alan and Rick stayed involved with the transaction as did Jim Miller.

I bought the car and was very happy. After I had the car a couple of days I noticed a couple of minor things and called Alan who asked me to bring the vehicle in and said he would take care of my concerns. We made an appointment for the next week and I took the vehicle into your detail shop and all was handled to my satisfaction.

As in my wife's case, I was treated courteously and professionally. I would gladly do business with the Anderson Auto Group again and recommend both Alan and the rest of the staff to my friends and family.
